The construction of round tanks was nothing new to Siegfried Beutler and Emil Lang even back then in April 1974. It was a matter of course. They founded SBB with a wealth of experience, an innovative concept and the goal of building better concrete tanks.

Even before the company had its own offices they started work. From their own homes. Everyone in the family helped out. More and more SBB concrete tanks were being filled across the country. And the expectations of success were fulfilled. And so they continued to develop.

Ideas became milestones.

The patented formwork system that was developed in 1985 was a result of this development work. A unique way of building monolithic concrete tanks without joints and in a precisely circular shape. Even without pores or blowholes. Innovations such as the Binishells followed. A procedure that brought with it even more profitability thanks to an inflatable formwork construction: Halls with a floor space of up to 1000 sqm can be created in just 10 days using the Binishells.

Thinking ahead, better with concrete.

The standard they set of trying to push forward the development in the tank construction field has remained. Today their specialisation in 360° concepts, SBB partition tanks, round tank constructions using the lowering procedure and biogas systems are the sign posts for economically successful systems.
